UST College is a division of Uphiwe Holdings(Pty) Ltd. It was established as a strategic organisation whose aim is to champion the skills and development gap that exists in South Africa, and be a vehicle that can reach out to the outskirts where training programmes are hard to come by.

To extend this reach, our team was tasked with developing an information sharing and enrolment platform that would need to be accessible to the widest audience, considering factors such as the local cost of data, device limitations, and limited internet access.

The result was a responsive, fully-optimised web platform with a custom-built content management system that caches critical content and makes it available to students with limited or poor internet access. To further extend the reach, we implemented a social media strategy along with analytics, to determine which courses need to be focused on based on their demand by the number of enrolments, page views, and Google searches. Within a year, over 4000 potential students had been reached, increasing enrolments by 68%.
